Intro + first diff
Nice to meet you, reader.
My name is Dima Kuchin. I’m the creator of the Awesome CTO list on GitHub.
Awesome CTO is a highly opinionated collection of resources for top engineering leaders, with a focus on startups and hyper-growth tech companies.
Originally, I made it for myself but later realized it would be useful for other people too. Each time I stumble upon an article or site that looks very helpful (according to my years of experience in those roles), it ends up in this list. There are also several contributors who submitted a few links – thank you! Please keep sending great content my way.
The list eventually became quite popular, with over 12,000 stargazers. And since I keep adding more and more content, it’s hard to keep track of the new additions. Hence, I decided to start a mailing list to help you get those updates.
Did you know it’s possible to compare two commits on GitHub? Well, now you do. Just add “/compare” to any repo URL.
And now the diff
The jewel of the latest commits is definitely Mochary Method Curriculum by Matt Mochary, a CEO coach to the founders of OpenAI, Notion, Rippling, Robinhood, Coinbase, Reddit, Plaid, Flexport, Opendoor, partners at Sequoia, YC, Benchmark, and many others (via Lenny Rachitsky).
Career growth has been expanded from a single article (Career Growth Frameworks in Software Engineering: A Review) to the new section with few more links:
Same on due diligence process, single article (Technology Due Diligence Checklist) became a section with new links:
Product management section also gained few links:
Product Manager Career Ladders - another gem from Lenny Rachitsky
Awesome Product Manager (similar name, different collection)
One new article in project management:
And few more assorted links:
Adapting to Endure / Crisis management from Sequoia
That’s all for now. Please help me to spread the word, and if you find a relevant resource, definitely send it to me.
Until next time!
